A multi-National Foodservice brand in Slough require an experienced Transport Manager to run their chilled, ambient & frozen goods distribution service. You will be managing a transport office team, Team Managers and a large fleet of vehicles.

A multi drop or Foodservice background is essential for the Transport Manager position.

The Role:
As Transport Manager you will be overseeing a team of managers, drivers, supervisors, de briefers and Admin staff.
You will be responsible for the running and compliance in-excess of 50 vehicles and 50 routes.
You must ensure that they meet both company standards and VOSA requirements.
It is the duty of the Transport Shift Manager to meet the SLA’s agreed with customers and liaise as appropriate with seniors managers.
You must run a cost efficient operation within company budget.
All Health & Safety procedures must be adhered to and you must enforce company policies.
You will be responsible for carry out disciplinary meetings as and when required.
It is expected that the Transport Shift Manager sets and monitors KPI’s to ensure all staff perform as expected.
All documentation must be accurate.
The Requirements:
Strong people management skills
CPC qualification is essential for O Licence
FMCG / Multi drop / Multi temp
