I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, CPC qualified Transport Operations Manager with a passion for logistics and planning to join a high-performing, fast-moving logistics company in the Nottinghamshire area.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-18:00
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum
The role will involve:
- Overseeing day-to-day transport operations for a large fleet of HGVs and rigid trucks
- Planning and coordinating UK & European routes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Monitoring and managing driver hours, tachograph infringements and working time directive (WTD) compliance
- Liaising with clients and drivers to ensure smooth delivery schedules
- Maintaining vehicle and driver records, ensuring all documentation meets legal and company standard
- Driving continuous improvement across transport operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transport management
- Transport Management CPC
- Strong understanding of Driver hours, tacho infringements, WTD
- Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills
- Confident managing a busy fleet and leading a team of drivers
