Are you an experienced transport professional with a strong background in UK road haulage?
We’re looking for a Transport Operator to manage and coordinate UK domestic road freight operations. You’ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries run smoothly, working closely with subcontracted hauliers and internal teams to deliver first-class service.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee UK road transport movements
Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, and customers daily
Source and manage subcontractor relationships
Monitor transport performance and resolve operational issues
Ensure full compliance with UK transport regulations
Use TMS and internal systems to keep accurate records
Negotiate haulage rates and manage costs efficiently
Requirements
Experience in UK road haulage operations
Proven experience working with subcontractors
Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Confident using IT systems and transport management software (TMS)
