Position: Transport Planner
Location: Corringham
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 (Some flexibility may be required)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their strong and reputable team. Our client was founded over 15 years ago and has swiftly become an industry-leading logistics company.
This role will suit an experienced Transport Planner with solid knowledge and proven experience in Container planning. Our client wants a forward-thinking and enthusiastic team player to join their expanding team.
Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner:
- Routing and scheduling vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation
- Booking VBS slots
- Arranging the release, collection and delivery of containers
- Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK
- Dispatching and debriefing drivers
- Solid WTD knowledge
- Hands-on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents
- Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost effectively
- Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of information
- Maintaining company policies and procedures
Requirements:

- TOPS – Highly desirable
