Transport Planner – Glasgow – Up to £40,000 per annum!
I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a leading freight and road haulage company in Glasgow.
The company deal within events and construction and have an excellent reputation within the area.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a fleet of drivers on a daily basis
- Monitoring driver times, progress, providing ETAs to ensure good time keeping
- Nationwide route planning
- Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company policies
- Back loading
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a transport planner
- Legal compliance knowledge – Tachographs, infringements, WTDs
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent UK geographical knowledge
- Vast back loading experience
- Organised and able to work on own initiative
