Transport Planner
Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to £37,000 DEO
Shift Pattern: M-F with weekend rota (paid overtime)
We’re working with a logistics business that’s looking for a hands-on Transport Planner to join their busy operations team. Coordinating deliveries and collections across the UK while keeping everything running smoothly and compliantly. You’ll be the go-to person for drivers, customers, and colleagues, ensuring the business meets its service commitments every day.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Scheduling and routing full-load, part-load, and container shipments across the UK
Keeping driver hours, trailers, and fleet utilisation in check
Managing container movements, including port collections and booking systems
Liaising with drivers and customers to deliver an exceptional service
About You:
Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination – ESSENTIAL!
Solid knowledge of UK geography
Experienced in container or groupage planning
Familiarity with booking systems (VBS or equivalent) preferred
CPC desirable but not essential
