Transport Planner – 4 on, 4 off (Nights)

Transport Planner – 4 on, 4 off (Nights) – London Gateway

Our client who are a nationwide transport company are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in London Gateway, UK

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: 4 on, 4 off – nights (18:00pm to 06:00am)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with multiple drivers
  • Communicating with ports
  • Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
  • Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
  • Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
  • Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
  • Speaking to customers on possible delays advising etc

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Transport Planner – Essential
  • Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
  • Excellent UK geographical knowledge
  • Can work on own initiative
  • Quick and efficient problem solving skills
  • Organised at all times
