Transport planner – Manchester- Up to £35,000
Our Client, who are a UK based leading Transport Company that provide nationwide logistic solutions are looking for an experienced transport planner to join their team in Trafford Park.
Job Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Thursday- Sunday 6am to 4pm
Salary : Up to £35,000 per annum
Responsibilities
- Daily input of KPI’s, delivery and collection issues, preparing paperwork
- Meet their transport legislation commitment
- Manage the delivery operation process smoothly & efficiently
- Regular coordinating and planning routes for 30-40 vehicles
- Administrative duties, including job input and capturing & logging PODs
- Continue own personal development to keep abreast of technical, legal and training best practice
- Allocating and planning transport for their General Haulage and container operations
Requirements:
- Experience planning routes with a general haulage company is essential
- Ensuring legal compliance is adhered to at all times
- Previous experience in a Transport Planner role is essential
- Knowledge of the WTD, Drivers Hours, Tachograph and Transport legislation required.
- Conversant IT skills e.g Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
