We are looking for an experienced UK Road Freight Forwarder to join our clients growing freight forwarding division within a wider distribution business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong market knowledge who wants to play a key role in shaping and developing a small but ambitious team.
The Role:
Arrange and manage UK full loads with a strong focus on backload rates
Provide on-the-spot quotes and handle occasional UK tenders
Build and maintain excellent relationships with hauliers and customers
Make use of platforms such as Haulage Exchange to secure competitive rates
Ensure competitive pricing through strong knowledge of UK market rates
Work closely with the wider distribution team to complement existing operations
About You:
Proven experience in UK road freight forwarding (full loads/backloads essential)
Strong understanding of UK haulage market rates, particularly across the North
Confident with Haulage Exchange and similar platforms
Commercially aware, able to quote competitively and win new business
Based in the North of England with good knowledge of Northern transport routes
Organised, proactive, and a strong communicator
What’s on Offer:
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
25 days holiday + bank holidays
