I am recruiting for an independent Plumbing & Heating supplies merchant. The company is a family-owned company and has been established 90 years. Over the last 6 years my client has seen strong growth and has expanded from just 1 branch to 5 branches.
The role
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Barton Hill branch. I am recruiting for a Warehouse Support/ Operative to join a busy and lively team. You will report to the branch manager. You’ll be working alongside a team of 4 to ensure all warehouse operations are carried out effectively and efficiently. This job role would suit an Warehouse Operative / Stores Assistant / Goods In/ Out Operative.
- Relief delivery driving to cover driver holiday – standard driving license required.
- Picking deliveries.
- Phoning customers to inform them orders are ready.
- Stock rotation and management.
- Using outlook to contact customers and suppliers.
Skills
- Basic computer knowledge on Outlook & Merchant systems (although training given).
- Attention to detail and having a high level of accuracy.
- Good monitoring and recording skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence
Benefits
- Salary £24/£26k based on experience
- 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
- 5 days sick pay per year.
- Bonus scheme.
- Working Hours: 42.5 hours a week (7.30am-5pm), 1 Saturday every 4 weeks (8am-13.00pm)
