Welder / Fabricator – Stainless Steel
My client is a market leading manufacturer of clean air technology. They are looking for several welders or a fabricators with either stainless steel or aluminium welding experience.
Package:
£12 – £16 per hour depending on experience
39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8am to 430pm/Friday 8am to 330pm
4% pension
28 days holiday
Main responsibilities:
Manual welding and fabrication of components to customer specification.
To be able to read and understand drawings that will include British / International standards and welding symbols.
Having a good understanding of fixtures, jigs and clamps when required.
Being able to produce ‘First Offs’ to specifications.
Self-Inspection and to include the use of measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, Micrometres and Height Gauges.
Working within weld specifications / procedures to minimise the risk of defective / reject parts.
Background:
An Understanding of Welding Symbols and British / International standards.
Qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1
Previous experience within a Precision Manufacturing environment.
Worked with thicknesses from 1mm to 6mm.
Knowledge and previous experience with carbon and stainless steels, in a welding environment.
Demonstrable MAG / TIG Welding experience.
