Welder
We have a requirement for a:
Welder / Fabricator
(39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8am to 430pm/Friday 8am to 330pm)
Whose main responsibilities are:
* Manual welding and fabrication of components to customer specification.
* To be able to read and understand drawings that will include British / International standards and welding symbols.
* Having a good understanding of fixtures, jigs and clamps when required.
* Being able to produce ‘First Offs’ to specifications.
* Self-Inspection and to include the use of measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, Micrometres and Height Gauges.
* Working within weld specifications / procedures to minimise the risk of defective / reject parts.
Ideally the candidate must have:
* An Understanding of Welding Symbols and British / International standards.
* Qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1
* Previous experience within a Precision Manufacturing environment.
* Worked with thicknesses from 1mm to 6mm.
* Knowledge and previous experience with carbon and stainless steels, in a welding environment.
* Demonstrable MAG / TIG Welding experience.
Preferably the candidate will have:
* Knowledge and previous experience with aluminium, in a welding environment.
* Demonstrable aluminium welding experience.
