Winder
I’m recruiting a Winder to join a leading electromechanical services provider in Pontypool, My client has grown from 2 employees to 64 and now has branches across South West England, Leicester and Wales. This would be a great opportunity for someone to join a rapidly growing company with plenty of progression.
The Role
To carry out all winding tasks in the workshop and to locate, repair or replace damaged coils or completely rewind all the wire coils used in electrical components.

To carry out all winding tasks in the workshop and to locate, repair or replace damaged coils or completely rewind all the wire coils used in electrical components.
- To bring electro/mechanical knowledge to the Winding Shop specifically to rewind AC and DC motors, stators, armatures and transformers.
- To carry out work of both low voltage and high voltage rewinds and refurbishment of high and low voltage electric motors and generators.
- Electric motor rewinder.
- High and low voltage motors (AC & DC) and generators.
- General mechanical and electrical fitting skills.
- To work on jobs as directed by the General Workshop Supervisor.
- To be available for call out shift or overtime as directed by the General Workshop Supervisor or Branch Manager.
- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Supervisor or Branch Manager.
You
- Proven experience in winding, specifically to rewind AC and DC motors, stators, armatures and transformers.
- Customer and solution focused.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE.
- Willingness to work outside of normal working hours.
- Attention to detail with good communications skills.
- Good time keeping skills are essential.
