Overview:

The Director of General Freight be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of freight operations in the UK market. Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, this role entails enhancing client relationships, identifying and securing new business opportunities, particularly in the energy sector, and assembling a proficient sales and operations team. The director must ensure seamless and efficient freight services across various modes (sea, container, air, road), while maintaining strict adherence to corporate ethics, quality standards, and promoting sustainable practices in alignment with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management and Business Expansion:

• Strengthen existing client relationships to discover new freight opportunities by working through our existing global client list and soliciting new clients
• Target and secure new business in the energy sector, offering comprehensive freight solutions
• Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of industry trends and opportunities and attend relevant industry events and functions

Team Recruitment and Leadership:

There are existing resources available to get this initiative started. However, we will need to:

• Recruit, train, and lead a dedicated sales and operations team for the UK market.
• Ensure team alignment with organizational goals and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration by adhering to our corporate management system standards.
