Our client, who are a multi-site freight forwarder are looking for a Freight Business Development Manager to join their team.

The Freight Business Development Manager would be tasked to identifiy business opportunities and selling the companies services.

The Freight Business Development Manager can be located anywhere in the South of England but would be required to make regular visits to their offices based in Kent and London Heathrow.

Job Responsibilities – Freight Sales Executive

Build business by identifying and selling company services, maintaining relationships with clients.

Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analysing sales options.

Selling the company’s services by establishing contact and developing relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Acting as a point of contact between customers and companies.

Negotiating with Shipping Lines

Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.

Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements – Freight Sales Executive

At least 3 years of sales experience within Air, Sea and/or Road freight.

Freight sales for a UK-based freight forwarder

UK Driving license
