Salary: Negotiable, up to £45,000
Hours: Mon – Fri 9:am – 17:30pm
The Company:
Our client is an award-winning, multi-site freight forwarder with 9 offices, strategically based around the UK.
They are one of the UK’s largest independently owned freight forwarding businesses and are currently experiencing significant growth across the group. To coincide with expansion plans, we are now actively hiring an experienced Senior Road Freight Operator/Manager to oversee the European Road freight department in Leeds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EU Road Freight import & export operations with end-to-end experience.
We are looking to speak with individuals who are passionate about their work, share our values, are dynamic and can adjust well in a fast-paced office environment.
In return, we can offer a competitive base salary of up to £45,000 along with 10% annual bonus and 25 days holiday + BH.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the full life cycle of all European Road Freigth Operations
- Oversee the EU road Freight department
- Lead a team of dedicated operators
- Arrange shipments from Origin through to final delivery
- Create bookings
- Liaise with merchant haulage, provide freight rates and quotations
- Complete Customs clearances via CDS
- Provide outstanding levels of customer service
