Freight Business Development Manager
Freight Business Development Manager – Remote – Up to £45,000
Our client, who are a freight forwarder and customs broker are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.
The role is for the Business Development Manager to assist in growing their freight forwarding department by engaging with customs across the UK.
** This role is 100% remote but encouraged to part take in client visits when possible **
Job type: – Permanent
Hours: – Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 17:00

Day-to-day:
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline in accordance with company guidelines
- Target and qualify a list of potential clients in the Sea and/or Road freight import & export sectors
- Gain new business and target new trade lanes within client selection
- Generate sales leads and act on them
- Establish strong relationships to customers as well as colleagues
- Engage with the road freight management team to facilitate identification of opportunities and review target management plan continuously
- Drive business development reviews and to ensure that CRM is updated to the highest standards
- Monthly review of performance and action plan setting (where needed)
Essential:
- Proven sales experience in Logistics / Freight Forwarding
- Excellent knowledge of the Sea and/or Road freight market
- Ability to identify market leads and convert them into business opportunities
- Flexible and proactive approach
