Account Manager

Salary: Up to £50,000 Basic + Bonus
Location: South West (Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire)

We are recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to join a well-established Contract Electronics Manufacturing (EMS) business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the electronics manufacturing industry who enjoys developing long-term customer relationships, managing complex projects, and identifying opportunities for account growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key OEM customers while identifying opportunities to increase revenue across existing accounts.

Working closely with engineering, procurement, planning, and production teams, you will ensure projects are delivered successfully while providing a first-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of existing EMS customers.
• Build strong relationships with purchasing, engineering, and senior management teams.
• Identify opportunities for account growth and additional business.
• Manage quotations, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate customer projects from enquiry through to production.
• Conduct regular customer meetings and site visits.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
• Achieve sales and profitability targets.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Contract Electronics Manufacturing (EMS/CEM) industry.
• Proven experience in account management or technical sales.
• Strong understanding of PCB assembly, box build, cable assemblies, and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills.
• Able to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving licence.
