Air Freight Coordinator – Central London – Up to £40,000

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Air Freight Coordinator to join our growing operations team in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both import and export air freight shipments, ensuring efficient movement of cargo while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end air freight import and export shipments
• Arrange collections, bookings, customs documentation, and final delivery
• Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, customers, hauliers, and warehouse teams
• Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to clients
• Ensure all operational processes comply with company procedures and industry regulations
• Prepare and check shipping documentation including MAWBs, HAWBs, customs entries, and invoices
• Manage shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies efficiently and professionally
• Ensure all files are completed accurately and closed within required timeframes
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Support the operations team in achieving service and performance targets

Requirements

• Previous experience within air freight forwarding operations for a UK based freight forwarder
• Strong knowledge of both import and export procedures
• Understanding of customs processes and shipping documentation
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using CargoWise would be highly beneficial
