Area Sales Manager – End-of-Line Packaging Automation

Location: West Coast / Southwest USA
Salary: $125,000-$150,000 base (up to $250,000 OTE) + car allowance + benefits

The Role

An exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join an established packaging automation business, driving sales growth across the US West Coast or Southwest region.

You will be responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships and selling end-of-line packaging automation solutions to manufacturers across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

• Identify and win new business opportunities across the assigned territory.

• Build relationships with manufacturers, production facilities and key decision-makers.

• Promote end-of-line packaging automation solutions, including case packing, palletising, conveying and integrated packaging systems.

• Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial consultation through to negotiation and order placement.

• Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to develop customer-specific solutions.

• Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within industrial machinery, automation or capital equipment.

• Strong new business development and territory management skills.

• Experience selling technical solutions to manufacturing or industrial customers.

• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate high-value projects.

• Experience selling end-of-line packaging automation is desirable but not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in packaging machinery, robotics, palletising, case packing, material handling or wider industrial automation will also be considered.

The Package

• Base salary of $125,000-$150,000, depending on experience.

• Uncapped or performance-related commission structure.
