Area Sales Manager – HVAC New Build

£65,000-£90,000 including bonus

We’re recruiting an experienced Area Sales Manager for an established supplier of heating, HVAC and renewable energy solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to develop relationships with national and regional housebuilders, residential developers and new-build housing contractors across the North of England.

Candidates can come from any HVAC product background, but must have proven experience selling directly to new-build housing developers.

You’ll be responsible for developing new business, managing existing developer accounts and securing product specifications on residential construction projects.

The Role

• Develop sales of heating, heat pump and renewable energy solutions into the new-build residential market

• Build relationships with national and regional housebuilders across the North of England

• Target residential developers, technical directors, commercial teams and procurement departments

• Secure product specifications on new-build housing developments

• Identify upcoming residential construction projects and new business opportunities

• Develop relationships with existing developer accounts and increase market share

• Present technical product solutions to housebuilders and their design teams

• Work with developers to understand heating requirements, project specifications and budgets

• Manage enquiries, quotations and commercial negotiations

• Liaise with M&E consultants, mechanical contractors and installation partners

• Maintain a strong pipeline of residential development opportunities

• Work closely with internal technical, design and customer support teams

• Achieve agreed sales targets and regional growth objectives

The Candidate

• Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or Specification Sales Manager

• Must have experience selling HVAC products or systems directly to new-build housing developers

• Established relationships with national or regional housebuilders highly desirable

• Background in any HVAC discipline, including heating, heat pumps, boilers, ventilation, air conditioning, controls or associated building services products

• Experience securing specifications on residential construction projects

• Good understanding of the new-build housing market and developer procurement processes

• Strong account management and new business development skills

• Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and presentation skills

• Able to manage long sales cycles from initial specification through to order

• Comfortable travelling throughout the North of England

• Full UK driving licence

Heat pump experience is not essential. The priority is an established HVAC salesperson with proven relationships and sales experience within the new-build housing developer market.

• £50,000-£60,000 basic salary (indicative)

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC Area Sales Manager looking to develop a territory within the new-build residential construction sector.

You’ll focus on building relationships with major housebuilders and regional housing developers, securing specifications and developing long-term commercial partnerships.

The position is particularly suited to someone already selling HVAC equipment into residential developers who wants to apply their existing relationships and specification sales experience to the growing heat pump and renewable heating market.
