Category Manager – Bradford

We’re looking for a commercially driven Category Manager with proven experience in the catering/foodservice industry to join a successful, multinational business.

This is a key role with responsibility for category strategy, supplier relationships and delivering sales, margin and profit growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category strategies, ranges, pricing and promotional plans.
• Lead supplier negotiations to maximise commercial income, funding, margins and profitability.
• Build strong supplier relationships and deliver Joint Business Plans.
• Analyse market trends and performance to identify commercial opportunities.
• Work with internal teams to improve product availability and customer value.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience within the catering/foodservice industry, ideally in category management, buying or a commercial role.
• Strong commercial skills and a track record of successful negotiations, influencing suppliers and delivering profitable outcomes.
• Excellent understanding of pricing, margins, sales and supplier funding.
• Strong analytical, relationship-building and influencing skills.
• A proactive, results-driven approach with the confidence to challenge and secure the best commercial deals.
