Associate Commercial Manager – M&E
A family-owned mechanical and electrical construction company based in the South-East is looking for a Commercial Manager to head up a small team of mechanical and electrical estimators.
This is a rare opportunity for someone who is fully trained and competent at performing a QS role from either the M&E or main contractor industry (so long as it’s buildings) to progress to Commercial Manager.
Package:
- Salary £70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience
- Car allowance £7000
- Net profit bonus
- 25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday
- Private health insurance
Role:
- Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met
- Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Prepare and review tender documents and proposals
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
