Controls & Commissioning Engineer – PLC Controls
Are you a Controls Engineer seeking a new challenge?
Our client provides bespoke test equipment. The test equipment generally includes mechanical assemblies, integrated PLC control systems, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
The Role
- Working as part of an installation team installing new test equipment, often in automotive companies
- Assembly of test equipment; mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, control panels, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, sensors etc…
- PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens S7)
- Calibration of instruments
- Working to general assembly drawings and schematic diagrams, engineering parts lists
- The role will include working in the factory and carrying out installations in the UK and overseas
- Requirements
- Experience working with test rigs, ideally engine test equipment (automotive / industrial)
- Experience with mechanical and electrical projects
- Good with customer interaction
- Understanding PLC software and troubleshooting using diagnostics tools (Siemens S7 preferable)

- Up to £45,000 annual salary
