Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 + 10% shift allowance

Customs Brokerage Coordinator Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit Customs Entries for both Import and Export shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customs regulations.
- Provide clearance instructions to other brokers, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are met for successful clearance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Customs Tariff and apply it to ensure appropriate classification and duty calculations.
- Regularly audit the customs entries processed by other brokers, verifying compliance with regulations, company standards, and accuracy.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any customs-related issues or discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and procedures to ensure continued compliance.
- Assist in managing any customs-related inquiries from clients or authorities and guide as needed.
- Help improve and streamline customs processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Customs Brokerage or a similar role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong understanding of Customs Tariff and regulations for both import and export shipments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to audit customs entries accurately.
- Ability to provide clear and concise clearance instructions to other brokers.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with internal teams, clients, and external authorities.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
