A well-established, reputable UK based multimodal logistics specialist are looking for a customs Coordinator, who specialises in all Things Sea, air & road from start to finish.

This role will be based at their operation in Birmingham.

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Coordinator (EU Imports) to join our logistics team. As the Customs Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of customs clearance for imports into the EU. This is a critical role in ensuring compliance with import regulations and maintaining efficient import processes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the smooth clearance of goods through customs for imports into the EU.
• Coordinate with customs officials, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient customs clearance.
• Ensure all import documentation and records are accurately maintained and compliant with EU import regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide status updates and resolve any customs-related issues.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to improve import processes and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customs coordination or customs clerk role, preferably with a focus on EU imports.
• In-depth knowledge of EU import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and with external partners.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in using customs clearance software and systems.
