Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30am – 17:30pm)
Are you a results driven freight forwarder or account manager, looking for a new role in Manchester? This role could be right for you.
My client is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder or Account Manager to join their team based in Manchester. The right candidate will have experience dealing with Air and Ocean/Sea Freight operations, ideally with experience dealing with import, export and cross-trade operations.
Experience dealing with customs clearances will be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent customer service.
- To generate and follow up sales leads, liaising with new and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
- Freight quotations for export and import freight shipments.
- Completing operational administration, including customs clearance formalities, for clients and suppliers.
- Managing the Air and Sea freight consignments in transit through to successful completion and delivery.
- Invoicing out and completing the job files.
Requirements:
- Air and/or Sea freight operations experience
- Import and/or Export customs experience
- Experience working for a UK based freight forwarding company
- Excellent customer service
- Good verbal and written communication
