Graduate Quantity Surveyor – M&E

We’re recruiting a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for a growing mechanical and electrical contractor delivering complex building services projects across London and the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Quantity Surveying graduate to begin their career within M&E contracting, gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of major projects. The business delivers complete mechanical and electrical packages, including design, procurement, installation and commissioning.

The Role

• Support the commercial management of M&E projects
• Assist with valuations, applications for payment and cost reporting
• Review subcontractor quotations and packages
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist with variations and change control
• Monitor project costs against budgets
• Help prepare forecasts and commercial reports
• Support subcontractor payment assessments
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out
• Work closely with Project Managers, engineers and senior commercial staff

The Candidate

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisation
• Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office
• Interest in mechanical, electrical or building services construction
• Placement or construction experience advantageous but not essential
