Our client is a leading Building Services, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) maintenance contractor delivering critical services across Data Centres, Pharmaceutical plants, Healthcare facilities (including Hospitals), and large Commercial buildings throughout Dublin and surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join their expanding Mechanical Maintenance & Facilities Management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems across commercial, industrial and healthcare environments.
  • Service, maintain and repair HVAC plant including VRV/VRF systems, split units, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), ventilation systems and associated mechanical plant.
  • Diagnose and fault-find electrical and mechanical issues across HVAC systems and provide effective repair solutions.
  • Carry out maintenance and repair of boiler plant and mechanical services systems (advantageous).
  • Work on hospital and healthcare environments, ensuring compliance with strict operational and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain and optimise system performance within critical environments such as Data Centres and Pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Work with BMS (Building Management Systems) where applicable (advantageous).
  • Provide accurate reporting, documentation and technical recommendations following site visits.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (EHSQ) standards.
  • Liaise with clients, site managers and maintenance teams to ensure service excellence and minimal system downtime.
  • Work independently and as part of a mobile maintenance team across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Time-served Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer / HVAC Technician.
  • Minimum FETAC Level 6 qualification (or equivalent).
  • F-Gas certification is essential.
  • Strong experience in HVAC maintenance, fault-finding and servicing.
  • Previous experience working in Hospital / Healthcare environments (essential).
  • Experience in Data Centres, Pharmaceutical or Commercial Building Services environments (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of VRV/VRF systems, chillers, AHUs, ventilation systems and HVAC plant.
  • BMS experience advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Full clean driving licence required.
