My client is seeking an ambitious Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing Building Services and M&E delivery team in Dublin. The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise across electrical design, installation, coordination, commissioning, and client-facing project delivery, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and programme performance.

This role offers exposure to high-profile pharmaceutical, healthcare, data centre, industrial, and commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead detailed design reviews of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements, QA standards, and industry best practice.
• Develop and present engineering solutions, including calculations, technical sketches, and documentation for client approval.
• Interpret IFC drawings and technical documentation to fully understand project scope, manage RFIs, and ensure delivery alignment.
• Use engineering and BIM tools including Dialux, Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM 360, Procore (or equivalent) to coordinate and validate designs.
• Review coordinated construction drawings and manage technical submittals through approval stages.
• Assess specialist subcontractor and supplier packages for compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to develop and track procurement schedules for materials and equipment.
• Support BCAR compliance, including review of inspection plans and coordination with QA teams.
• Monitor and contribute to LEED, BREEAM, and sustainability compliance requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with specialist subcontractors and site teams.
• Compile O&M manuals, test packs, and handover documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the project team.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent (Level 7/8).
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering or M&E Building Services project delivery.
• Strong experience in commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, or data centre projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and relevant engineering software.
• Strong understanding of Irish electrical standards including fire alarm, emergency lighting, and LV systems.
• Excellent technical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and client-facing ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
• Leadership capability with experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
