Salary: £32,000-£35,000 + Company Vehicle + Overtime
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Hydraulic Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business, supporting customers across the South of England.
This is a field-based role covering Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire, carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems and equipment across a range of industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on hydraulic systems and components
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders
- Install and commission hydraulic systems on customer sites
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Provide technical support and advice to customers on-site
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with hydraulic systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working in a field service or mobile engineer role (desirable)
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
- Good communication skills and customer-facing experience
- Full UK driving licence
