Ocean Export Coordinator
Ocean Export Coordinator – Feltham – Up to £35,000
Our client, who are a multi-site Freight Forwarder in the UK and overseas are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ocean Export Coordinator to join their team in Feltham, UK. As Ocean Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by sea, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery for our clients. Your knowledge of import procedures, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks will contribute to the success of their freight forwarding operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 8:30am to 5:00PM – Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £35,000
Annual leave: 22 days plus bank holidays
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the exportation of goods via ocean freight.
- Communicate and liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and clients.
- Arrange and track shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues or delays.
- Coordinate with warehouse and transportation teams for efficient cargo handling and delivery.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of export records and databases.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and providing status updates.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination of export activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Ocean export Coordinator within the freight forwarding industry.
- In-depth knowledge of ocean import procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and MS Office applications.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
