Ocean Export Coordinator

Ocean Export Coordinator – Bristol – Up to £28,000

Our client, who are an international freight forwarder and looking for an Ocean Export Coordinator to join their growing team in Bristol, UK.

As Ocean Export Coordinator, you will assist the manager with all aspects of Ocean Exports, while ensuring the proper and timley movement of freight, and providing exceptional customer service.

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 17:30pm (Paid overtime available)

Salary: Up to £28,000

Day-to-day:

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
• Track and Trace shipments
• Ensure arrival notices are communicated to overseas and customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
• Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers (trucking companies and others involved)
• Meet compliance at all times – regulations both internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
• Understand department process flow and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the DLSOPs.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company’s procedures.
• Oversee communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal & external)
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.
• Complete mandatory training when required.
• Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.

Requirements:

• UK Freight industry knowledge
• Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
• Fluent in English
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
