Location: East Midlands (site-based, within 30 minutes of Burton-on-Trent/Swadlincote)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate + overtime + benefits
We are working with a well-established industrial business investing heavily in a new state-of-the-art facility. As part of this growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join a small, close-knit maintenance team.
The Role:
- Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery including shredders, trommels and loading shovels
- Carry out inspections, fault finding and diagnostics using modern equipment
- Complete mechanical repairs, part replacements and adjustments to ensure operational efficiency
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and electrical testing tools
- Maintain accurate service records and daily job logs
About You:
- Proven experience working on heavy plant or similar machinery
- Experience within waste, recycling or similar environments beneficial
- Welding experience advantageous
- Time served with recognised engineering qualifications
- Strong work ethic with good communication skills
Working Environment:
- Mix of workshop and outdoor work in varying conditions
- Involves manual handling, working at height and exposure to industrial environments
Package:
- Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
- Overtime available, including weekends paid at enhanced rates
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
