Sales Engineer/BDM – Valves
Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager
My client is a family run business that manufacture and distribute a comprehensive range of products including valves & components to the water industry, power generation and general industrial markets.
With big plans they are looking to extend their sales team. The main focus is quoting in response to enquiries and converting these quotes to sales with an additional responsibility for speaking with target customers to understand their needs, explain the products and book appointments for the Sales Director.
The Role
- Respond to customer enquiries (received by phone and email).
- Managing your pipeline and converting quotes to sales to achieve your sales targets
- Raise POs with suppliers (when needed) once customers have ordered
- Work as part of the team and actively participate in sales meetings – bringing your data, sharing learnings, and making suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Log, investigate and resolve customer issues as and when required.
You
- 3 years+ experience of selling valves or other mechanical items to the following sectors – water, wastewater, offshore and Petrol-chemical industries.
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Able to work in a fast-paced Environment
- Driven to hit Sales Targets
- High level of attention to detail
Benefits
- Base salary £32K/£42K depending on experience
- Uncapped commission plan.
- Early Friday finish every week
- Monday to Thursday – 08:30 – 17:00 & Friday – 08:30 – 15:00
- Holidays – 25 days + Bank Holidays
