Salary: £40,000-£55,000 basic + bonus

About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Service Engineer to join a leading global engineering and process technology business.

This role has been created as part of continued business growth and increased demand for specialist separation equipment. The successful candidate will combine technical engineering knowledge, customer relationship management and commercial development, working closely with customers across the UK.

The position would suit an experienced Sales Engineer, After-sales Engineer or Sales Service Engineer who has a strong understanding of process equipment, separation technology or a closely related industry and is comfortable working independently with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing customers across the UK.
• Identify opportunities to develop service, aftermarket and equipment sales.
• Provide customers with technically credible advice and solutions.
• Support customers throughout the sales and service lifecycle.
• Develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Work closely with internal engineering, service and commercial teams to deliver customer requirements.
• Attend customer sites to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities.
• Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals and commercial opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information.
• Build long-term relationships with key decision makers and technical stakeholders.
• Represent my client professionally at customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience within Sales Engineering, Service Engineering, Technical Sales or Sales/Service Engineering.
• Ideally have 3+ years’ experience with their current employer, demonstrating stability and customer relationship ownership.
• Have experience with process equipment, separation technology or another closely related engineering sector.
• Ideally have experience within industries such as food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical or environmental processing.
• Direct experience with separation equipment is preferred, although candidates with a strong background in process equipment, capital equipment or a closely related sector will also be considered.
