Service Manager – Heat Pumps

We’re recruiting a Service Manager for a specialist heat pump manufacturer.

This is a non-technical management position focused on the administration, organisation and coordination of the company’s service operation. You’ll ensure engineers are properly scheduled, customers are kept informed and planned maintenance visits run efficiently.

The Role

• Manage the day-to-day administration of the service department

• Plan and schedule engineer workloads

• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance visits

• Manage engineer diaries and geographical routing

• Book appointments with customers and site contacts

• Monitor upcoming service and maintenance requirements

• Manage service contracts and renewal dates

• Ensure engineers have the correct job information before attending site

• Process completed job sheets and service reports

• Maintain accurate customer and equipment records

• Raise quotations and purchase orders where required

• Coordinate parts and materials for scheduled visits

• Handle customer enquiries and service updates

• Monitor outstanding jobs and ensure work is closed efficiently

• Produce service department reports and KPIs

The Candidate

• Service coordination, administration or service management experience

• Experience managing field engineer diaries advantageous

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Comfortable managing multiple jobs and priorities

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Confident using CRM, scheduling or service-management systems

• Experience within HVAC, heating, renewables or engineering advantageous

• Technical heat pump knowledge is not required

The Opportunity

This role is about making sure the service operation runs smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll take ownership of engineer scheduling, PPM administration, customer communication, service documentation and general coordination, allowing the engineering team to concentrate on delivering the work.

Long-term progression into Senior Service Manager → Service Operations Manager / Operations Manager.
