SQL Database Developer
SQL Server Database Developer – Dartford – Hybrid
Our 10 year partner and key client are hiring a SQL Server Database Developer to join a growing IT Development team within a well-established, fast-scaling global logistics and e-commerce business named in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 companies.
This is a new role where you’ll design, build, and optimise database solutions that power business-critical systems.
- Develop and maintain high-quality T-SQL (procedures, views, functions, indexes)
- Diagnose and fix performance issues using execution plans and query tuning
- Optimise transactional systems, reporting, and integrations
- Support structured database changes across Dev, Test, and Production
- Work with release/CI processes to deliver safe, reliable deployments
- Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues
- Help improve database standards and practices
Essential:
- 5+ years’ SQL Server development experience
- Strong T-SQL and performance tuning skills
- Solid database design knowledge
- Experience managing changes across environments
- Strong problem-solving ability
Desirable:
- Experience with application teams
- Exposure to high-availability environments
- Familiarity with deployment/version control tools
