Transport Planner

Location: Felixstowe
Salary: Up to £40,000, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a well-established logistics business in Felixstowe.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport or logistics experience who wants to develop their career within a supportive and professional working environment.

The role

• Planning and coordinating container transport movements

• Allocating work to drivers and subcontractors

• Monitoring collections and deliveries to ensure they run on schedule

• Communicating with customers, drivers and internal departments

• Updating transport systems with accurate job information

• Resolving delays and operational issues quickly and professionally

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

• Supporting the wider transport team during busy periods

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or freight forwarding would be beneficial

• Knowledge of container transport or the Port of Felixstowe would be an advantage

• Strong organisation and communication skills

• The ability to manage changing priorities in a busy environment

• A calm and practical approach to problem-solving

• Good attention to detail and basic computer skills

• A reliable and positive attitude
