Position: Air Freight Export Coordinator

Location Miami, Florida

Salary $50,000+ Base Salary + Commission

Full-Time, On-Site

Are you an experienced air freight professional who enjoys managing shipments but also has a commercial mindset and the confidence to win new business?

We’re working with an established freight forwarding business in Miami that is looking to strengthen its air freight team with a commercially minded operator who can combine hands-on export operations with sales, quotations and business development.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands the air freight export and consolidation market, enjoys building customer relationships and wants to be rewarded for contributing to the growth of the business.

The Role

Working across air freight exports and consolidation, you’ll play an important role in coordinating shipments, supporting customers and identifying opportunities to generate additional revenue.

The position combines day-to-day operational responsibilities with a commercial focus, making it ideal for someone who understands the forwarding process from quotation through to shipment completion and is confident discussing rates and services with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air freight export shipments and consolidation activities.
• Prepare freight quotations, and negotiate competitive air freight rates.
• Liaise directly wiht airlines and carriers
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with local and international customers and logistics partners.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, securing repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, warehouses and internal operations teams to ensure shipments move efficiently.
• Manage customer enquiries, resolve operational issues and provide a high level of service.
• Maintain accurate customer information, shipment records and pricing details within internal systems.
• Work towards agreed sales, revenue and profit margin targets.

What We’re Looking For

• At least two years’ hands-on experience in international air freight exports within a freight forwarding business.
• A good understanding of air freight export processes, consolidation and airline pricing.
• Experience preparing quotations, analysing freight costs and working with spot rates.
• A commercial mindset, with the confidence and ability to generate leads, sell services and close business.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Spanish language skills are also required.
• A proactive, organised and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
