We are recruiting an experienced Ocean Import Manager for a leading global freight forwarder. This position will lead the ocean import department, develop the operational team and drive service, compliance, profitability and continued business growth.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the ocean import operations team
Oversee FCL and LCL shipments from arrival through delivery
Monitor productivity, service levels, billing and department profitability
Maintain relationships with customers, carriers and overseas offices
Ensure compliance with operational procedures and import regulations
Manage the departmental budget, KPIs and business plan
Requirements
Strong ocean import freight-forwarding experience
Previous operational management or supervisory experience
Knowledge of ocean carriers, import documentation and customs processes
Commercially aware with experience managing departmental performance
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Package
$85,000 base salary
