Air Freight Operations Manager

Dublin 3 | Competitive Salary + Benefits | Full-time

We’re looking for an experienced Air Freight Operations Manager to join a successful and growing international freight forwarding business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced airfreight professional who enjoys leading people, improving operational performance and delivering an exceptional service to customers.

You’ll take responsibility for a multimodal freight operations team of 20 people.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of experienced freight operators.
• Oversee day-to-day airfreight operations and ensure a high-quality service.
• Drive operational efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Take ownership of regulatory compliance, including aviation security and GDP requirements.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, identify improvements and implement best practice.
• Support the continued growth and development of the operation.
• Ensure the team operates to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with solid air freight forwarding experience who has progressed into a management or team leadership position.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience within airfreight operations.
• Previous experience managing, mentoring or leading a team.
• Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding procedures.
• Understanding of GDP, aviation security and regulatory compliance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A hands-on, proactive and commercially aware approach.
• Experience with CargoWise would be advantageous.
