We’re looking for an experienced Ocean Import Manager to lead a large, high-performing team and oversee end-to-end ocean import operations within a truly global logistics environment.

The role

You’ll take ownership of ocean import operations, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, compliantly and cost-effectively while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You will:

• Lead and develop a large ocean import operations team
• Oversee bookings, carriers, transportation and cargo delivery
• Manage key customer, vendor and service-provider relationships
• Ensure compliance with customs, trade and import regulations
• Monitor KPIs, costs, service levels and operational performance
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with internal teams to deliver seamless end-to-end service

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years’ freight forwarding/logistics experience
• Strong ocean import experience
• 3+ years’ people management experience
• Experience leading large operational teams
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight, customs and trade requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset
• Good Microsoft Office skills and experience with logistics systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred
