Business Development Manager
Location: Houston, TX

An established global logistics and transportation provider is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the Houston market and surrounding region.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across international freight forwarding, supply chain, and logistics solutions. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to contract negotiation and account development.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Promote air freight, ocean freight, warehousing, customs brokerage, and supply chain solutions.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial agreements, and close new business.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service and account retention.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve agreed revenue targets.

Requirements

• Proven business development or sales experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain solutions.
• Strong track record of winning new business and growing customer accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a target-focused environment.

Package

• Base salary: $130,000
• Uncapped commission and performance bonus
