I’m seeking a dynamic Compliance Manager with a great understanding of the food industry. In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead efforts to uphold impeccable food safety standards, exceed customer expectations, and safeguard the integrity of our supply chain.

Partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure our operations deliver not just consistency and quality, but a reputation for excellence that sets us apart in the market. Your expertise in compliance, hygiene systems, and attention to detail will drive customer satisfaction and operational authenticity at every level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, certification, and audit standards.
    • Develop and manage a robust internal audit program.
    • Address non-conformities through effective corrective actions, focusing on root cause resolution.
  • Technical Leadership:

    • Assist the Head of Technical in creating, managing, and monitoring technical projects.
    • Deputize for the Head of Technical when required.
    • Play an active role in the company HACCP team and other working groups as needed.
    • Support the development and management of the food safety and quality management system.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and manage a small technical team.

  • Communication & Reporting: Provide clear and regular communication regarding technical risks and mitigations, prepare and present KPIs and other reports within agreed timelines.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure accurate compliance records are maintained across the field and packhouse.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Formal qualifications in auditing or quality management systems.
  • HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 certification.
  • Experience supporting or leading BRCGS audits.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Fresh Produce sector
