Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end coordination of shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in international freight operations and a strong understanding of customs procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange and coordinate international freight movements via air, sea, and road.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents to manage shipments effectively.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including customs clearance.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing updates to clients as required.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder in air, sea, or road freight.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in freight management systems and MS Office.
