The Opportunity

We are currently supporting a highly established international freight forwarding business with a strong and expanding presence in Hamburg.

Following continued investment into their European operations, they are now strengthening their operational freight forwarding teams to support increasing global shipment volumes across air, ocean, and multimodal transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end international freight shipments (Ocean, Air, Road, or Multi-Modal)
• Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents
• Handle import/export documentation and ensure full customs compliance
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve operational issues
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and high service levels across all shipments

Required Experience

• Proven experience in freight forwarding or international logistics
• Strong operational knowledge across one or more transport modes
• Confident handling import and/or export shipments independently
• Familiar with customs processes and shipping documentation
• Strong communication skills (German and/or English)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially aware
