Trainee Freight Operations Coordinator

Location: Manchester, Wythenshawe
Salary: £26,500 per annum + Quarterly Bonus incentive
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time

We are recruiting for an exciting entry-level opportunity with a well-established and growing international logistics business. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in freight forwarding, supply chain, or transport operations.

No direct industry experience is required, although any previous knowledge or exposure to logistics, shipping, transport, or freight forwarding would be highly advantageous.

The Role

Working within a busy operations team, you will support the movement of customer shipments from booking through to completion, ensuring a high level of service throughout.

Duties will include:

• Delivering excellent customer service to clients and partners
• Managing shipment files from start to finish
• Processing invoices and costs accurately and on time
• Supporting existing customer accounts and maintaining service levels
• Liaising with carriers, suppliers, and service providers
• Selecting suitable transport and logistics solutions to meet customer needs
• Identifying opportunities to grow existing customer relationships
• Assisting with profit growth through effective commercial support
• Ensuring company procedures and service standards are followed at all times
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
