Position: Liner Manager

Location: Southampton

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: £50,000

We seek a skilled and experienced Liner Manager to elevate our UK Operations, who must have out-of-gauge, break bulk and project cargo experience within sea freight or shipping. A background working with a shipping agency, shipping line or vessel operation would be the perfect candidate. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the transportation of goods via marine vessels, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to all regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of scheduled routes, vessel capacity management, and international maritime regulations.

Your key responsibilities as a Liner Manager

• Manage the efficient scheduling and routing of yachts on liner vessels.
• Ensuring adherence to time frame commitments, improving the service to clients and maintaining healthy profit margins
• Dealing with OOG, Breakbulk/Project Cargo shipments, planning and logistics
• Vessel charter operations (liaising with ship owners, shipbroker, internal and overseas P&M offices, port agents
• Liaise with internal offices and agents to keep them informed
• Seamlessly coordinate all elements of a yacht shipping journey including skipping, cradling, insurance, wrapping, customs and surveying
• Update clients with load/discharge sequences even when out of hours
• Monitor cost accuracy from subcontractors / check port costs and try to maximise our profit by reducing our costs
• Manage all aspects of documentation processes associated with international cargo shipping,
  ensuring accuracy and timeliness of required customs paperwork and Bills of lading
• Work to resolve operational issues when required
• Communicate operational matters with loadmaster teams
• Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade compliance laws
