Quality Engineer
I am looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance and control across complex engineering projects within a regulated environment. You will ensure products, suppliers, and processes meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical quality.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and manage Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures
– Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, nuclear quality standards, and customer requirements
– Conduct internal and supplier audits, inspections, and surveillance activities
– Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
– Maintain quality documentation, traceability, and manufacturing records
– Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring
– Participate in FAT/SAT activities and oversee fabrication, welding, and inspection processes
– Promote continuous improvement and a strong quality and safety culture
About You
Essential:
– ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering or relevant experience
– Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA/QC or QHSE
– Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulated industry standards
– Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
– Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable:
– Auditor training (ISO Lead Auditor preferred)
– Certified Weld Inspector (PCN / CSWIP or equivalent)
– Experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated sectors
– Membership or working towards Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
